Improved Racing LS1, LS6 C5 Corvette "Batwing Oil Pan" Crank Scraper

 Improved Racing designed this crank scraper specifically for use with the C5 Corvette "Batwing" oil pan setup. Because these oil pans are shallow and well-baffled, a windage tray section isn't required and only the scraper section of our kit is included. 

Improved Racing's crankshaft scrapers help reduce oil starvation by closely contouring the crankshaft and rods to remove excess oil, ensuring oil is quickly returned to the bottom of the sump. Crank scrapers also help reduce parasitic drag and windage losses caused by excess oil on the crank, which reduces rotational mass and results in dyno-proven gains of nearly 2% at the wheels. Gains of up to 9 WHP can be expected on a 500 WHP engine. 

Improved Racing's second generation crankshaft scrapers are CNC-machined from 0.190" thick, 6061-T6 billet aluminum, making them twice as strong as our first generation steel scrapers. Weighing just 1.1-1.2 lbs, these lightweight scrapers will save over 1.6 lbs over the factory windage tray. 

The crankshaft scrapers and were designed in CAD software using actual GM part models, prototyped, and test-fitted for a completely bolt-on fit in every listed application. The factory oil pump pickup tube is kept in the factory location with no compromises or modifications required.
