How Does It Work?

During normal engine operation, crankcase pressure vents oil vapors into your intake system. Over time, this can lead to oil accumulation in your intake manifold, reducing efficiency and even diluting fuel, lowering its octane level. This issue is more pronounced in forced-induction vehicles, where increased crankcase pressure exacerbates oil buildup.

The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is engineered to prevent this. It features a fine mesh stainless steel filter that captures oil vapors and allows them to condense into heavier droplets. These droplets fall into the 3oz capacity tank, preventing them from reaching the intake. The knurled base makes draining simple, and the O-ring seal ensures leak-free performance.

Maintenance & Performance

The separator should be checked after the first 1000 miles to gauge oil accumulation. While results may vary, most vehicles can go 2500-3500 miles before needing to empty the tank. Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and long-term protection of your engine.
