How Does It Work?

During engine operation, crankcase pressure vents back through the intake track, carrying oil vapors that accumulate in your intake tube, intake manifold runners, and even dilute your fuel, lowering its octane level. This issue is more severe in supercharged or turbocharged engines due to increased crankcase pressures.

The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator combats this problem with an advanced multi-stage filtration system. The fine mesh stainless steel screen traps small oil vapors, allowing them to condense and grow heavier. These heavier droplets then pass through a 1/2" thick, 1/16" aluminum honeycomb filter, further coalescing before finally settling into the separator’s 3 oz capacity tank. This ensures that only clean air is passed into the intake system.
