How Does It Work?

When venting crankcase pressure back through your intake, oil vapors can accumulate in your intake tube, manifold runners, and even dilute fuel, reducing octane levels. This is a common issue, especially for forced induction vehicles.

The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is designed to capture these vapors before they reach the intake. It features a fine mesh stainless steel filter that traps oil mist, allowing only clean air to pass through. As the oil droplets accumulate, they become too heavy to stay in suspension and collect in the reservoir, preventing them from entering the intake system.

Maintenance & Performance

The tank holds 3oz of fluid, which is more than enough for typical PCV systems. It is recommended to check the separator after 1,000 miles of driving. Most vehicles can run between 2,500-3,500 miles before requiring a drain, but results may vary based on driving conditions and engine type.
