How Does It Work?
As crankcase pressure vents back through your intake, it carries significant amounts of oil vapor that can coat your intake valves, blower rotors, and intercooler fins. This oil contamination reduces efficiency and can even lower the octane level of your fuel. The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator effectively captures these oil vapors before they can cause damage.
Advanced Filtration System
- Fine Mesh Stainless Steel Screen – Traps fine oil vapors and releases them when heavy enough to fall.
- 1/2" Thick 1/16" Aluminum Honeycomb Filter – Further condenses oil droplets, ensuring they do not reach the intake.

Maintenance & Performance
The tank holds 3 ounces of oil, which is sufficient for routine use. While this may not seem like a large capacity, you should not see excessive oil accumulation in a properly functioning PCV system. We recommend draining the separator every 2,000-3,000 miles to maintain optimal performance and keep your engine running clean.
