 The 240 amp Large Case AD244 GM alternator is a great way to get big amperage at a reasonable price. This G series unit features our custom solid copper rectifier with large 65 amp press fit diodes and over sized output stud for excellent durability. These powerhouses crank out over 140+ amps at just 600 RPM engine speed on any standard GM truck, with full 240+ amps at anything above 1800 rpm engine speed! A 46mm Billet aluminum 6 rib pulley is used to maximize low RPM output, so a 1/2 inch to 1 inch shorter than stock length belt (not included) is recommended for optimum belt tension. 240 amp G series units are made in the USA and come with a 2 year warranty. NOTE: Some GM vehicles equiped with the heavy duty charging package and CS144 alternator will require a harness adapter in order for the OEM alternator plug to fit. Some 2005 and newer GM's have a 2 pin connector that is not compatible with this unit. Please check your vehicle's original alternator plug and compare to the plug photo to verify proper fitment before ordering. For customers desiring adjustable voltage, these units are compatible with the Adjustable Voltage Boost module for 1996 - 2004 GM 4 pin oval connectors. Ask a sales associate for more details!
