Product Overview

Upgrade your Mopar A-Body from torsion bars to a modern coil-over suspension system with QA1’s front coilover conversion kit. Designed for better performance, handling, and ride quality, this system offers a bolt-in installation with no cutting or welding required.

QA1 Mopar Coil-over Conversion System Features

  • Tubular K-member: Reduces weight and provides room for big-tube headers
  • Modular motor mounts: Supports various engines, including Gen 3 Hemi
  • Tubular control arms: Improved geometry for enhanced handling and drivability
  • Rack-and-pinion steering: Modern, powered steering for a precise feel
  • QA1 coil-overs: Single or double-adjustable options for dialed-in ride quality and stance
  • Mustang II-style spindles: Allows for a wide range of brake options

Drag Configuration

This setup is optimized for drag racing and includes:

  • Rod ends on both control arms to reduce deflection and improve weight transfer
  • Lighter spring rates for enhanced rear grip during hard launches
  • 0-2″ of adjustable ride height

Handling Configuration

This configuration is designed for better cornering and reduced noise and vibration, including:

  • Poly bushings on lower control arms for improved cornering and stability
  • Heavier spring rates for increased front-end stability
  • 0-2″ or 2-4″ of adjustable ride height

Fitment Notes

  • Single-adjustable shocks: Best for street-driven vehicles
  • Double-adjustable coil-overs: Recommended for consistent drag racing, autocross, or road racing
  • Gen 3 Hemi power steering pumps require a pressure reducer and power steering cooler
  • Coil-overs and control arms in this kit are not compatible with QA1 tubular products designed for torsion bar suspensions
  • Kits with 2-4″ of drop require at least 18″ wheels and disc brakes with a minimum 12″ diameter
