GEN III BLOCKS ONLY

The Texas Speed & Performance 408 C.I.D. LQ9 Short-Block is built using a brand-new GM LQ9 6.0L iron block and comes fully assembled with a 4.00" stroke crankshaft and your choice of 24X or 58X reluctor. This is a proven foundation for high-performance Gen III LS builds.

Key Features:

  • New GM LQ9 6.0L iron block
  • 4.00" stroke crankshaft with 24X or 58X reluctor
  • Standard 4.03" bore forged piston sets (unless noted)
  • Choice of Wiseco, CP, Diamond, or Mahle 2618 forged pistons
  • Oil and coolant plugs pre-installed

Important Notes:

  • Optional upgrade to 1/2" ARP head studs requires PRC aftermarket cylinder heads
  • Gen III block uses LS1/LS6-style covers and components, but requires LS2/LS3 head bolts
  • Expedite service may be available depending on parts availability

All TSP engines include 12 quarts of break-in oil at no additional cost for proper ring seal and startup protection.
