TSP H-Beam Rod and JE L8T No-Balance Piston Combo - No Balance w/ L8T Crank

Complete rotating assembly pairing Texas Speed Performance (TSP) Super H-Beam connecting rods with JE Performance pistons designed for the 6.6L L8T. The JE pistons are for the 6.6 L8T and require no balancing when used with our TSP H-Beam Rods and stock L8T crank. Rod bearings and a file-fit ringset are included — built for strength, reliability, and high-performance applications.

Piston & Rotating Assembly Specs

  • Application: JE L8T No-Balance Piston (designed for 6.6L L8T)
  • Bore: 4.065"
  • Compression Height (CH): 1.185"
  • Stroke: 3.86"
  • Wrist Pin Diameter: .927"
  • Included: Rod Bearings and File-Fit Ringset
  • Ring Pack (included): 1.2mm top ring, 1.5mm 2nd ring, 3.0mm oil ring

Technical Details

  • Rod Material: Heat-treated & stress-relieved 4340 steel
  • Rod Type: TSP Super H-Beam
  • Rod Bolts: ARP L19 rod bolts included for maximum clamping force
  • Manufacturing Process: Rods are torqued, rough-honed, separated to release residual stress, then reassembled and final-honed to ensure true roundness at installation
  • Power Rating: Super H-Beam rods rated for builds up to ~900 flywheel HP (engine & build dependent)
  • Balance Requirement: No balancing required when JE L8T pistons are used with TSP H-Beam rods and a stock L8T crank
  • Oil Squirter Note: Once installed, oil squirter clearance must be checked and adjusted accordingly

Important Installation Notes

  • Ring gaps, piston-to-wall clearances, and bearing clearances must be checked by the end user prior to final assembly to avoid engine damage.
  • Verify piston-to-deck and piston-to-valve clearances for your head/gasket/rod combination.
  • If your block uses piston oil squirters, check and modify clearance around the piston skirts as required.
  • Follow ARP and TSP torque specs and use recommended assembly lubricants and torque sequences for ARP L19 rod bolts.

Important Note: Ring gaps, piston-to-wall clearances, and bearing clearances have to be checked by the end user to avoid engine damage.
