UPR Products 15-24 Mustang S550 Front Control Arm Spherical Bushing Kit

Reduce deflection and improve front suspension response with the UPR Products Front Lower Control Arm Spherical Bushing Kit for the 2015-2024 Ford Mustang S550. The factory rubber lower control arm bushings can bind and deflect under load, resulting in caster and toe changes that can make steering less predictable during aggressive cornering and heavy braking.

Replacing the factory rubber bushings with spherical bearings allows the suspension to move freely while reducing unwanted binding and deflection. The result is more consistent suspension geometry, improved handling, and more predictable steering response during hard braking and cornering.

Each bearing housing is CNC machined from high-strength 7075 billet aluminum rather than the more commonly used 6061 aluminum. With a tensile strength of approximately 83,000 PSI compared to approximately 45,000 PSI for 6061, 7075 provides additional strength for this critical suspension component. The housings feature a machined flange on one side for a positive stop during installation and a retaining snap ring on the opposite side to keep the assembly securely positioned.

The kit utilizes large 1" Teflon-lined chrome moly spherical bearings and weighs approximately 2 lbs 11 oz per pair, saving approximately 1 lb 6 oz compared to a comparable steel bushing setup.

Installs in approximately 1.5 hours. A press is highly recommended for removal of the factory bushings and installation of the spherical bearing assemblies.
