UPR Plug N Play™ Driver Side Clean Side Catch Can System

The UPR Clean Side Catch Can is designed to provide the ultimate protection for your engine by capturing oil mist from crankcase vapors before it can enter the intake system. In high-performance and boosted applications, crankcase pressure can force oil vapor through the CCV system and into the intake tract—this system stops that from happening.

By installing a clean side catch can, you maintain proper PCV system function while preventing oil contamination in the intake, intercooler, and combustion process. This helps improve long-term engine reliability, performance consistency, and overall efficiency.

How It Works

Automotive PCV systems operate with both a “dirty side” and a “clean side.” The dirty side uses intake vacuum to remove moisture, fumes, and contaminants from the crankcase. As this occurs, fresh filtered air is drawn in through the crankcase vent (clean side), which is typically connected to the intake system.

During aggressive driving, boost, or towing, oil mist can be pushed through this clean side system and into the intake. The UPR Clean Side Catch Can traps this oil vapor while still allowing proper airflow—keeping your intake system clean and functioning as intended.
