Designed for serious competition use, this Pro Brake Powerglide is engineered to deliver the strength, consistency, and reliability required in demanding high-power racing applications.

Rated for up to 2200 horsepower, the Level 5.5 combines an SFI-certified aftermarket case with a collection of heavy-duty billet and race-proven internal components. FTI offers this transmission in both standard long-tailhousing and shorty-tailhousing versions, allowing racers to select the configuration that best suits their chassis and drivetrain combination.

At the heart of the Level 5.5 is an FTI billet aluminum valvebody with Pro Brake configuration, backed by a 10-clutch drum and new straight-cut planetary. A proprietary alloy high-flow billet ringless input shaft and 300M billet output shaft provide the strength needed for extreme horsepower applications.

The transmission also features FTI's new 7-bolt high-volume ringless pump and a deep aluminum pan, creating a complete competition-oriented Powerglide package for racers who demand dependable performance at elevated power levels.
