Overview

The Whipple Gen 6 3.0L Stage 1 Supercharger Upgrade Kit is designed for Ram TRX owners looking for increased airflow, improved charge-air cooling, and more horsepower potential than the factory supercharger can support. Built around Whipple's newest Gen 6 twin-screw technology, this complete package delivers the airflow capacity, cooling performance, and tuning support needed to take the 6.2L Hellcat platform to the next level while maintaining 50-state emissions compliance.

At the center of the system is Whipple's Gen 6 3.0L twin-screw supercharger. Compared to smaller factory-style superchargers, the Gen 6 offers substantially greater airflow capacity and power potential. Whipple rates the system with over 300 horsepower of additional airflow capacity compared to the Hellaphant 3.0L supercharger and over 500 horsepower of additional airflow capacity compared to the factory Hellcat 2.4L supercharger, providing significant headroom for future performance upgrades.

To maximize airflow into the supercharger, Whipple incorporates a large 112mm inlet opening compatible with the factory throttle body, 102mm throttle bodies, 105mm throttle bodies, and Whipple's optional 112mm throttle body. Every kit also includes a TRX-specific S&B ram air intake system featuring a massive high-flow air filter, oversized intake tube, enlarged intake scoop, and dual ram air hood connections to help feed the larger supercharger with cool, unrestricted airflow.

Whipple's patented dual-pass, dual-core intercooler system helps control charge-air temperatures under demanding conditions. The oversized design utilizes dual 2-inch intercooler cores with a total of 4 inches of cooling thickness and dual in, dual out coolant flow for improved heat management and consistent performance.

This complete Stage 1 package also includes HP Tuners RTD hardware, security bypass components, PCM upgrade support, and Whipple calibration to simplify installation and tuning. For 2019 and newer Ram applications, the calibration process utilizes the vehicle's original PCM to maintain proper CAN network communication while supporting a clean tuning process.
