TSP 427 C.I.D. Resleeved Gen 4 Aluminum Long-Block

The Texas Speed & Performance 427 C.I.D. Resleeved Gen 4 Aluminum Long-Block combines a 4.125" bore and 4.00" stroke with a new, fully machined Gen 4 aluminum LS block. Each long-block is machined and assembled in-house at Texas Speed & Performance and can be configured with your choice of rotating assembly, PRC cylinder heads, valvetrain components, camshaft, and supporting components.

Every TSP resleeved long-block starts with a new Gen 4 aluminum block fitted with heavy-duty dry sleeves. The resleeved block provides a strong foundation for serious naturally aspirated, nitrous, supercharged, and turbocharged combinations while allowing the larger 4.125" bore required for this 427 C.I.D. package.

427 C.I.D. Configuration

  • Displacement: 427 C.I.D.
  • Bore: 4.125"
  • Stroke: 4.00"
  • Block: New Gen 4 Aluminum LS Block
  • Sleeves: Heavy-Duty Dry Sleeves
  • Reluctor: Choice of 24x or 58x
  • Cylinder Heads: Choice of Available PRC Cylinder Heads
  • Camshaft: Selected for the Customer’s Engine Combination and Intended Use

Custom Rotating Assembly Options

Although this package is specifically configured as a 427 C.I.D. long-block, the rotating assembly can be customized to suit the intended application. Select from the available piston, crankshaft, and connecting rod options when configuring your engine.

  • Pistons: Multiple forged piston configurations are available for different compression ratios, cylinder-head chamber sizes, fuels, and naturally aspirated or power-adder combinations.
  • Crankshaft: Choose from the available 4.00" stroke crankshaft options.
  • Connecting Rods: Multiple connecting rod options are available based on the intended application and power level.

PRC Cylinder Head Options

Choose from the available PRC cylinder head options to match your desired airflow, compression ratio, power level, and intended use. Cylinder-head availability and recommended combinations may vary based on the other components selected for the engine.

Final compression ratio will depend on the selected piston configuration, cylinder-head combustion chamber size, head-gasket thickness, deck height, and other engine specifications.

Camshaft Selection

Your long-block includes a choice of available TSP camshafts. Because the correct camshaft depends on the cylinder heads, compression ratio, vehicle, transmission, rear gearing, power adder, intended RPM range, and overall use of the engine, camshaft selection is confirmed directly with the customer.

Please call Texas Speed & Performance to select your camshaft. If a camshaft is not confirmed before the order is placed, a member of our team will contact you to review the combination and finalize the selection.

Cylinder Head and Valvetrain Options

The long-block can be configured with your choice of available cylinder-head, valvetrain, and supporting components, including:

  • PRC cylinder heads
  • Available rocker-arm options
  • Head bolts or head studs
  • Timing-set options
  • Oil-pump options
  • TSP camshaft selected for the intended combination

Available component choices are shown in the product configuration menus and may change based on availability.

Built and Machined In-House

Each block is resleeved, machined, inspected, and assembled at the Texas Speed & Performance engine machining facility. Critical machining and assembly operations are performed in-house so the block, rotating assembly, cylinder heads, valvetrain, bearing clearances, and final long-block assembly are matched as a complete package.

Power-Adder Applications

The 4.00" stroke used in this 427 combination is our preferred maximum stroke for high-horsepower power-adder applications. Combined with the 4.125" bore, it creates a proven 427 C.I.D. combination that can be configured for naturally aspirated, nitrous, supercharged, or turbocharged use.

Component selection should always be based on the intended horsepower level, fuel, power adder, operating conditions, and overall application.

Break-In Protection

Every TSP engine includes 12 quarts of break-in oil at no additional cost. Proper engine break-in is critical for establishing ring seal and promoting long-term engine life. After completing the break-in process, use the appropriate high-quality engine oil for your application.

Shipping Information

All long-blocks ship via truck freight. Online shipping calculations may not reflect the final freight cost. Texas Speed & Performance will contact you with final freight pricing after your order is placed.
