Reduce front-end weight, increase engine-bay clearance, and add convenient recovery points with the UPR Chrome Moly K-Member with Tow Hooks for the 1996-2004 Ford Mustang. Designed for demanding street, drag race, and road race applications, this tubular K-member combines lightweight construction with the strength required for high-performance use.

Constructed from 4130 seamless Chrome Moly tubing, the UPR K-member is lighter and stronger than comparable mild-steel designs. It saves approximately 37 lbs over the factory K-member while providing additional header and oil pan clearance without altering the factory wheelbase.

The K-member features mounting pads for 4.6L, 5.0L, and 5.4L Modular-style engine applications. Heavy-duty 1/4" thick motor mount pads provide a strong engine mounting foundation, while precision TIG welding in billet fixtures helps maintain consistent dimensions and fitment.

Two front-mounted tow hooks are incorporated into the K-member for convenient track and recovery use. The assembly is finished in a durable silver powder coat and includes steering rack bolts along with your choice of standard or offset rack bushings.

UPR designed this K-member to work with UPR non-adjustable A-arms, UPR adjustable A-arms, or factory A-arms, allowing the front suspension to be configured for a variety of street and racing combinations.

Installation typically requires approximately 3-6 hours.

• If aftermarket motor mounts are used, the locating tab may require trimming for proper fitment.
