UPR Products 79-04 Mustang Chrome Moly K-Member – No Motor Mounts

Built specifically for dedicated race cars using engine plates instead of factory-style motor mounts, the UPR 79-04 Mustang Chrome Moly K-Member provides a lightweight, high-strength foundation for serious drag racing and road racing applications. By eliminating the conventional motor mount pads, this K-member provides maximum room for custom engine installations while increasing header and oil pan clearance.

Constructed from 4130 seamless Chrome Moly tubing, the UPR K-member is engineered to provide excellent strength while weighing considerably less than the factory assembly. The tubular design saves approximately 38 lbs compared to the factory K-member, helping remove weight from the front of the vehicle without altering the factory wheelbase.

Each K-member is precision TIG welded in billet fixtures for consistent dimensions and proper fitment, then finished in a durable silver powder coat. The design can be used with UPR non-adjustable A-arms, UPR adjustable A-arms, or factory A-arms, providing flexibility when configuring the front suspension.

Installation typically requires approximately 3-6 hours.

Standard Hardware Kit: Grade 10.9 hardware package including four A-arm bolts, eight A-arm washers, four A-arm nylock nuts, four K-member main bolts, four K-member main washers, four K-member rear pad bolts, and four K-member rear pad washers.

Master Hardware Kit: Expanded Grade 10.9 hardware package including four A-arm bolts, eight A-arm washers, four A-arm nylock nuts, four K-member main bolts, four K-member main washers, four OEM-style K-member J-nuts, four rear pad bolts, four rear pad washers, and two K-member rear aluminum retaining nut/blocks.

Important Compatibility Notes:

• This K-member does not include motor mounts.
• Designed for vehicles using an engine plate or similar race-style engine mounting system.
